Railway Recruitment Board has released vacancies of ALP/Technician and various vacancies in Group D. The number of vacant seats are different in RRB Chandigarh region than other regions for both the post. Huge number of candidates have applied for both the posts. RRB Locopilot examination was conducted from 9th August 2018 to 31st August 2018. The RRB Group D examination for various posts has been started from 17th September 2018. Many candidates have applied from RRB Chandigarh region in order to try their hand. Indian Railways has conducted this recruitment drive after long time due to which the number of aspirants are more.
RRB Chandigarh ALP/Locopilot
The examination of RRB Locopilot was over now. Candidates who had appeared in the exam can download the answer key from official website. After qualifying the preliminary examination, candidates will get the call for appearing in the Mains examination. While filling the Main Examination form, candidates who are wiling to opt RRB Chandigarh region can choose the same. RRB ALP Main Examination will carry the questions from concerned trade. Those candidates who fail to qualify preliminary examination of Locopilot will not get the call to appear in the Main Examination.
RRB Chandigarh Group D
Railway Group D Examination starts from 17th September 2018. The number of candidates applied for this post is more than the candidates applied for RRB ALP. Huge number of applicants have filled the application form from RRB Chandigarh Region. The selection procedure for Group D comprise of the following - CBT, PET, Document Verification. Railway department has released 62967 vacancies for various posts such as Helper, Trackman, Gangman etc. Candidates who have applied from RRB Chandigarh Region will get their job posting in Central Region.
RRB ALP Selection Procedure
Railway Recruitment Board has prescribed various steps for the selection of candidates to the posts of Locopilot. Candidates who will pass all the stages successfully shall be finally selected. A candidate has to pass through the various stages which are as follows.
- First Stage CBT
- Second Stage CBT
- Aptitude Test (only for ALP Candidates)
- Document Verification
The first stage is common for all candidates who had submitted the application form. Those who will qualify the first stage will get the call for appearing in the second stage or Main Examination. Further two more stages are there namely Aptitude Test in which only aspirants of Locopilot will appear & document verification will be done for finally selected candidates.
RRB Group D Selection Procedure
The selection procedure of Group D is different from Locopilot. In this, the level of question can be easier than the questions asked in ALP Examination. Candidates who have applied for RRB Group D Examination can check the selection procedure from below.
- Computer Based Test
- Physical Efficiency Test
- Document Verification
In this examination Computer Based Test (CBT) is common for all candidates. After qualifying CBT Examination, the eligible candidates will get the call for appearing in PET. In PET, candidates have to pass the physical test which shall be conducted to test the health. Then the last procedure of the recruitment process is Document verification.
