Cut off for Group D Railway CBT Examination

Once the examinations are over for CBT Group D examinations, the result will soon follow. Though the analysis time takes a long period the candidates are expecting RRB to release the result by February/ March 2019. And we all know the results for Group D exam will accompany RRB Group D Cut off 2018. The cut off list will also be released together with the result and candidates can check it on the official website as well.

What is Cut off?

Cut off marks are the minimum marks that the candidates must score in order to be tagged successful in the given examination. The cut off marks are often decided considering various factors. Each Examination body has their own set of rules to decide the cut off marks. Cut off marks is usually decided as for the particular category of the candidate. Reserved category candidates are often given some relaxations.

What is RRB Group D Cut off List?

Railway Recruitment Board will announce the RRB Group D Cut off List 2018 on its official website. The Cut off list describes the minimum marks each category candidate must obtain in order to appear for the next level of examination. RRB Group D Cut off List will mention separately which category candidate should score how much marks. The candidates who score less than the cut off marks will not be able to appear in the next level examination.

What is the difference between Cut off Marks and Qualifying marks?

The qualifying marks are the minimum marks a candidate requires to clear the test. These marks are predetermined by the Board. It is like obtaining passing marks of the test. For Example obtaining 30% marks in your Board exams.

Cut off marks are the minimum marks the candidate requires to be able to get get selected to appear in an examination or recruitment process. Cut off marks are always more than the Qualifying marks. For example: In order to appear for the Railway Recruitment you must have scored more than 50% marks in Board Exam. If you score more than 30% but less than 50% it does not mean you failed the examination, it means that you passed your examination but not qualified enough to appear for the recruitment or further examination.

How to download the cut off list? 

• Visit the official website of the Regional RRB.

• On the home page under Notifications, Check for the announcement of Cut off Released.

• Click on the notification link.

• Submit the login details like Registration Number and Password when asked on the official portal.

• The cut off List will appear in the PDF Format.

• Download the PDF File.
